NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt lacrosse had two student-athletes receive American Athletic Conference weekly honors Monday after the Commodores earned a 14-9 victory over Cincinnati in the regular season finale to secure the fourth seed in the AAC Tournament.
Paige Gunning, a fifth-year goalie, was named AAC Goalie of the Week for the second time this season, after posting 10 saves in Saturday’s win, including her 600th career save. The Severna Park, Maryland, native continues to be Vandy’s all-time leader in saves with 602 over her five seasons in black and gold. Gunning has posted 10+ saves in four contests this year, with her season-high 17 saves against No. 16 James Madison two weeks ago.

Kemper Robinson, who was named AAC Midfielder of the Week, registered her sixth hat trick of the season. The junior, who was also named AAC Midfielder of the Week after the first week of the season, posted four points in Saturday’s win with three goals and one assist.

The Commodores return to action Thursday in the semifinals of the AAC Tournament against top-seeded Florida with opening draw at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex set for 4:30 p.m. The game will air on ESPN+.
