Carey and fellow Commodore signee Natalie Wills were both named to the 2008 Toyota High School All-Tewaaraton Team, which featured 12 male and female winners chosen from schools in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area. Wills, a goalie at St. Mary’s (Md.), helped her team advance to the conference quarterfinals this spring.
Along with Carey’s IAAM crown, three other state championships will be represented by next year’s VU freshmen. Kendall Pittinger, Hannah Clark and the Connors sisters (Kacie and Kelly) were a part of title teams in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, respectively.
