TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team notched a 4-2 hidden dual match win over Florida State on Saturday, the second straight for the Dores at the Crimson Tide Fall Challenge hosted by Alabama.
It was a doubles sweep for the black and gold to open the day. Junior Danil Panarin and freshman Jack Satterfield picked up another doubles win together, downing Florida State’s Justin Lyons and Azariah Rusher 6-4. Freshman Donghyun Hwang and sophomore Callum Markowitz rounded out doubles with a 6-4 defeat of Oren Ezerzer of Florida State and Russell Lokko of Louisville.
The Dores once again strung multiple singles wins together. No. 46 Panarin earned his first solo victory of the challenge against Lyons, generating a 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 comeback victory over the Seminole. Markowitz remained flawless in singles play from Tuscaloosa, moving past Ezerzer 6-3, 7-5. Vandy owns an 8-4 match record across the past two days of competition.
