Tickets Remain Available For Vanderbilt-Tennessee Football Game

Nashville, Tenn. – An ample supply of tickets remain for the Vanderbilt-Tennessee football game on Nov. 20th, Commodore officials said today.

Commodore marketing officials said several thousand tickets remain on sale with 10 days prior to the intrastate rivalry that returns to Vanderbilt Stadium for the first time in six years.

“We want to get the word out that plenty of tickets remain for the upcoming game,” Vanderbilt athletic marketing director Eric Nichols said. “With the game moving back on campus into a smaller stadium, some sidewalk fans may have assumed that the game was a sellout.”

Individual tickets for the game are $55. Discounted rates of $39 and $47 are available for groups purchasing a minimum of 50 or 25 tickets, respectively.

Tickets can be purchased through the Vanderbilt Athletic Box Office on campus, by telephone at (615) 322-GOLD or toll-free at 1-877-44-VANDY, or on-line through the team’s official ticketing website, www.commodoregameday.com.

Vanderbilt is offering fans of both teams the ability to purchase and print their tickets from home or office computers instead of having to wait in lines or find time during a busy work day to visit the ticket office.

Commodore officials suggest that fans planning to purchase VU-UT tickets use the on-line option for their own convenience. “This system is about as easy as it can get to order and pick up game tickets,” Nichols said. “We’re providing a method for fans to purchase tickets on their own schedule without having to wait in line.”

The in-house purchasing technology is similar to that offered by several major airlines, allowing passengers to pre-print boarding passes with ticket purchases. Each ticket will have its own barcode that will be scanned at stadium gates for entry.
