Vandy had four different scorers in win

NASHVILLE., Tenn. – Vanderbilt had four scorers lead the way past Belmont in a 5-0 decision on Thursday night at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. This marks the fourth consecutive game that Vandy has shut out the Bruins, who have yet to score a goal on the Commodores.

Vanderbilt took a 2-0 lead into halftime, with goals from Addie Porter and an own goal off the foot of Courtney Jones. Jones then got on the score sheet with an assist to Caroline Betts. Sydney Watts tallied her first career goal to make it 4-0 just before the hour mark. Melania Fullerton also tallied her first career goal with an assist from Porter and Nyela Calnek.

Vandy outshot the Bruins 28-1 as keeper Sara Wojdelko registered her sixth career shutout. Mary Beth McLaughlin also registered the first start of her career.

The Commodores return to action on Sunday afternoon, hosting Saint Mary’s (Calif.) at 1 p.m. The match will be shown on SEC Network+.
