Three Kickoff Times Scheduled

Vanderbilt Stadium expected to be at 100 percent capacity for home games this fall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Three of Vanderbilt’s football games for the 2021 campaign now have kickoff times established.

  • Sept. 4 vs. East Tennessee State – 7 p.m. CT
  • Sept. 11 at Colorado State – 9 p.m.
  • Sept. 18 vs. Stanford – 7 p.m.

Vanderbilt Stadium is expected to operate at 100 percent capacity for the 2021 campaign, beginning with the Commodores’ home opener (Sept. 4) with East Tennessee State on SEC Network+.

Vandy travels to Colorado State (Sept. 11) for a clash televised by CBS Sports Network. The meeting will be the first between the two programs.

Vanderbilt’s third game, and its second at home, will feature a visit from Stanford (Sept. 18) televised by ESPNU. The game will also be the first in series history.

Following revised CDC recommendations  indicating that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks or physically distance, Vanderbilt updated many of its protocols effective May 25 including that gathering  size limits will be lifted for  outdoor gatherings.

Vanderbilt will continue to monitor public health guidance and rely on experts, including the CDC, Nashville Metro Public Health and leaders at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the School of Nursing.
