The Vanderbilt swim team is heading to Buies Creek, N.C. for their last meet of 2017 on Saturday, as they race Campbell University on December 30 in the Johnson Aquatic Center.
The Dores head into North Carolina for the dual meet after not having any competition for more than a month. Vanderbilt earned an exciting one point win in their previous dual last month, beating Marshall 103-102 at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville on Senior Day.
The Commodores and Camels are no strangers to each other, having faced each other in each of the previous three seasons. Vanderbilt won in a dual meet last season in Nashville and raced past the Camels in tri-meets in the 2015-16 and 2014-15 seasons.
After the Campbell dual, the Commodores will head to the Bahamas for their annual semester break training trip before returning stateside for the second half of their season. Vandy will travel to Houston for the second time this season to take on Arkansas and the University of Houston in a two-day tri-meet at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
Vanderbilt will close out January with their last dual meet of the year against Arkansas Little Rock before the SEC Championships.
