NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt Swimming and Diving has been honored for its efforts in the classroom by being named an Academic All-American Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The Commodores team grade point average of 3.535 ranked fifth nationally among Division I women’s swimming programs. More impressively the Vanderbilt team GPA ranked higher than schools such as Harvard, Princeton and Columbia.
“I am extremely proud of our team’s academic performance,” head coach Jeremy Organ said. This achievement shows the commitment of our team to strive for excellence in the classroom and in the pool.”
The Commodores will return to the waters Nov. 14-15 as they travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the Phil Hansel Duals.
