Rising sophomore Hunter Stewart and incoming freshman Zach Jaworski each qualified for the U.S. Amateur and will compete at the event August 13-19 at the Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colo.
Stewart, from Lexington, Ky., qualified third at the Cincinnati qualifier, posting a two-round score of 138. Jaworski, from Alpharetta, Ga., qualified fourth at the Atlanta qualifier with a 136.
Stewart, Jaworski, and their Commodore teammates play in their first collegiate tournament of the season August 31-September 1 at the Carmel Cup, where Vanderbilt will play on the prestigious Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hills golf courses.
