Ryann Shaughnessy joined Vanderbilt Athletics in August 2022 and currently serves as assistant athletic director of premium seating and priority giving for the National Commodore Club.

Shaughnessy worked with West Virginia’s Mountaineer Athletic Club staff for a year and a half prior to coming to Vandy, in that time earning a promotion from assistant director to associate director of annual giving. She was responsible for growing and maintaining MAC membership and running the day-to-day operations of the annual fund of the Mountaineer Athletic Club.

Shaughnessy began her career in collegiate athletics as a student intern with the Ram Athletic Fund at Virginia Commonwealth, becoming the RAF’s graduate assistant while completing her master’s degree. She worked with VCU’s annual fund, special events, and the ticket office. Her work experience also includes a stint as a marketing intern with the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

A native of Somers, New York, Shaughnessy earned her bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Virginia Commonwealth in 2019 and a master’s degree from the school in sports leadership in 2021. While attending VCU, she was a member of the inaugural women’s lacrosse team.

Shaughnessy currently resides in Nashville.
