Corey Guymon enters his fifth year on Derek Mason’s coaching staff. He serves the program as Co-Director of Player Development.
Guymon has helped the Vanderbilt program in several ways. Besides his current player development role, he has worked as an analytic quality control in 2016 and offensive graduate assistant in 2017.
Guymon’s player development position has four goals – to create a student-athlete valued experience, increase student-athlete community involvement, prepare student-athletes for life after college encourage and continued involvement from alumni.
Guymon joined the Commodores after serving as a student assistant for four years at the University of Mississippi, contributing to a 34-18 overall record. He helped the Rebels to four consecutive postseason appearances, including the 2015 Sugar Bowl.
Guymon earned a bachelor’s in history from Ole Miss in December 2015.
A native of Searcy, Ark., Guymon graduated from Harding Academy. He played safety and wide receiver during his prep career.
Guymon completed a master’s degree in liberal arts and science from Vanderbilt University in May 2018.
