2015 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll

2014 (Junior): Played and started first seven games before leg injury ended season… Finished with five draw controls, four ground balls and a caused turnover… Defender set career-high with three draw controls in season-opening victory against Kennesaw State… Also had two draw controls against Denver… Collected two ground balls against North Carolina.

2013 (Sophomore): Played in six games… Collected five draw controls and three ground balls and caused a turnover… Had best game of season at Boston College in a loss when she picked up two ground balls, won two draw controls and caused a turnover.

2012 (Freshman): Played a reserve role on the Commodore defense in 11 games… Caused turnovers against Presbyterian and in both games against Ohio State… Two draw controls vs. Penn State… Multiple ground balls in three games.

HIGH SCHOOL:Four-year varsity player for Coach Diane Chapman’s Garden City Lady Trojans… Helped team to four NYS Class B State Championships, including consecutive undefeated seasons in 2010 and 2011… Brine Stick Award winner at the 2011 state tournament… H.M. All-County and All-League in 2011… Long Island’s National School Girl Team in 2010 and All-Galaxy League in 2010 and 2009…. New York State Scholar-Athlete in both lacrosse and field hockey… Played club lacrosse for the Long Island Elite Yellow Jackets… Played four years of varsity field hockey… Reached state finals in 2007 and 2010… All-state and all-county in 2010, and winner of the Stanford Memorial Award in field hockey her senior year… Played two years in the USAFH Regional Futures Program… Member of the Principal’s List all four years.

Daughter of Kathryn and Robert Nesi… Has one older sister, Juliana, and one older brother, Matthew… Brother played rugby at the University of Delaware…. Psychology major… Member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority… One of 13 Vanderbilt student-athletes on service trip to Costa Rica delivering shoes to those in need with Soles4Souls in December 2014.
