Colette Kinsella prepped at LaGrange Park (Nazareth Academy) and was named its 2023 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She was the runner-up in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters at the 2023 section meet and placed fifth in the 1,600 at the IHSA State Championships. In 2022, she was the IHSA regional cross country champion and was third at the sectionals. In 2019, 2021 and 2022, Kinsella finished 13th at the 3M IHSA Class 2A State Cross Country Championships. During the 2021 cross country season, she was the runner-up at the regional meet and came in fourth at the section meet. Kinsella’s prep best times include 5:05.02 in the 1,600 meters, 10:51.62 in the 3,200 meters, 17:44.8 in the three miles (XC) and 19:23.2 in the 5K (XC).
