Played in 25 rounds and posted a 75.12 stroke average…Named to the SEC Community Service Team for the second consecutive season…Best finish of the season came at the Mason Rudolph Championship, when he finished in a tie for fourth…Only Commodore to play in three NCAA Championships.
As a Junior (2014-15)
Played in all 37 rounds this season, and had a stroke average of 72.22…Named to the All-SEC Second Team and the Community Service Team for his exploits off of the course…Finished in the top 10 twice this season, including a runner-up finish to Hunter Stewart at the Tavistock Collegiate…Posted four other top 20 finishes…Carded nine rounds in the 60’s, including a team season-low 64 in the first round of the Dick’s Collegiate Challenge Cup…Posted a final-round 69 in NCAA New Haven Regional.
Summer of 2014
Advanced to match play at the 2014 U.S. Amateur in Atlanta…Finished in a tie for 21st at The Players Amateur.
As a Sophomore (2013-14)
Played in nine events and 26 rounds, and posted a 73.00 stroke average…Won medalist honors at the Talis Park Challenge, when he carded a three-round total of one-under par, 215 (70-73-72)…Other best finish was a tie for 12th at the Reunion Intercollegiate…Low round of 70 came in the first round of the Talis Park Challenge.
Summer of 2013
Finished in a tie for 47th at the Palmetto Amateur.
As a Freshman (2012-13)
Played in four tournaments and 11 rounds, and posted a 77.27 stroke average…Lowest round of the season came in opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championship, when he carded a 69.
High School
Played for nearby Hendersonville High School, where his Commandos team claimed the state championship in 2010 and 11, finished runner-up in 2009, and in third in 2008…Was District and Region champs from 2008-11…Individually, he was a two-time County Player of the Year (2010, 2011) and district champion in 2010…First-team Mid-State honoree in 2010 and 2011…Was a NHSGCA All-American in 2008, and won the TSSAA Academic Award from 2008-11…Claimed the Gretchen Warner Award in 2011…Finished third at the 2011 Tennessee State high school championship… A member of the National Honor Society, Jacobs had a stellar summer of 2011 on the junior circuit, finishing third at The Wally, fourth at the AJGA Huntsville Junior and the Tennessee State Open, and 15th at the Bubba Conlee in Memphis.
