Dustin Curran
Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach
Dustin Curran joined Vanderbilt in 2023 as assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Commodore football program.
Curran came to Nashville following two seasons as assistant strength and conditioning coach with the University of South Carolina football program. Curran assisted in all aspects of the strength program, including programming and implementation of return to play protocols for injured student-athletes. He also assisted with nutrition accountability and tracking.
Prior to South Carolina, he coached at Marshall University and was a graduate assistant at Michigan State University. He also completed an internship with the New York Jets in 2016.
Curran graduated from Saginaw Valley State in 2014 where he played Linebacker for the Cardinal football program. Upon obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science he went on to earn his Master’s in kinesiology from Michigan State. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength & Conditioning Association and owns sports performance certification from USA Weightlifting.
He and his wife, Brittany, reside in Nashville.
