One of the team’s vocal leaders and hardest workers, Woestmann brought energy, enthusiasm and production to the Commodore defense as a senior captain… Earned 11 starts at outside linebacker/defensive end… Forced out of lineup against South Carolina due to injury… Concluded the season by 17 solo tackles, 30 total tackles, a quarterback sack, forced fumble, three quarterback hurries, and 5.5 tackles for loss… Ended the season as team’s active career leader with 13 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss, and second in total tackles… Earned 24 starts in 49 career games… Opened the season by setting a career high with eight tackles vs. Ole Miss, but had to fight through leg injury that slowed progress for nearly a month… Had at least four tackles in five of team’s final six games, and registered tackle for loss in consecutive outings against Old Dominion, Florida and Mississippi State… QB sack came against Miss. State.

2013
. Earned 13 consecutive starts at DE, playing in a 5-player position rotation with Walker May, Caleb Azubike, Jimmy Stewart and Stephen Weatherly… Finished the year by setting career highs with 21 solo tackles and 40 total tackles… Also contributed team-high 6.0 quarterback sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss… Had at least two tackles in 11 of 13 games… Opened the season with a 7-tackle, 2-sack performance vs. Ole Miss… Later in the year, posted pair of sacks and a forced fumble at Texas A&M… Registered six tackles at South Carolina, and four against Georgia.

One of the team’s hardest workers, Woestmann has played in all 13 games at defensive end, setting career highs with 22 total tackles… Tied for second on team with six quarterback sacks, all coming in the team’s seven-game win streak to close the regular season… Also contributed eight tackles for loss and a pair of forced fumbles… Was sensational in Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl victory over N.C. State, registering two sacks and a forced fumble… Recorded four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in a win over Auburn… Forced a fumble at Ole Miss… Had two solo tackles against both Northwestern and Wake Forest.
