Cooke served as the team’s top reserve punter…  He saw action in one game, posting a 43-yard punt at Houston.

2014
Cooke served as team’s primary punter throughout his sophomore season… Ranked eighth in the Southeastern Conference with a 42.4-yard average on 66 punts… Booted a punt of 50 or more yards in 9 of 12 games, including a season long of 68 yards vs. Charleston Southern… Placed 19 of his 66 punts inside the opponent 20-yard line… Only seven punts resulted in touchbacks… Opposing teams averaged 7.7 yards on 23 returns.

2013
Cooke saw limited action as a redshirt freshman, but when called upon, he handled the team’s punting chores in fine fashion… Averaged 45.1 yards on 14 attempts… Served as team’s punter in BBVA Compass Bowl victory over Houston, averaging 45.2 yards on 10 punts… Six of his 10 attempts vs. Houston landed inside the Cougars’ 20-yard line… Posted booming 67-yarder against Wake Forest…

Cooke did not play as a true freshman… He is a combo punter-kicker candidate for the Commodores.

Senior captain… Named Parade All-American PK as senior… Three-year starting placekicker for middle Virginia public school… As senior, converted 17 of 21 field goals… 17 field goals is second highest single-season total by Virginia prep kicker… Helped Bulldogs to 14-1 record and Division 2 state finals where he made field goals of 48 and playoff-record 51 yards… 40 of 54 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks… Earned All-State and All-Region honors… On National Signing Day, played for USA team in International Bowl, held in Austin, Texas… Earned two soccer letters… National Honor Society VP.
