Burse did not play as a true freshman… Worked to improve strength while impressing as a practice squad wide receiver in the fall.
High School
Senior captain… Started at WR since freshman season… As senior, earned team[apos]s postseason Iron Raider Award and All-Region honors… Impressive career stats: 166 catches, 2,977 yards, 35 TDs… In 2012, had 49 catches for 854 yards and eight TDs, helping Raiders to 7-4 record and first round of AAAAAA state playoffs… Participated in Offense-Defense All-American bowl in Texas… As junior, earned All-State recognition from coaches and writers after catching 52 passes, good for 857 yards and 13 TDs for 9-2 squad… Earned three letters on varsity basketball team, starting as shooting guard-forward.
