Played sparingly in third year with program… Saw action in two games… Caught two passes for 10 yards in season finale vs. Wake Forest.

2006
Reserve wide receiver and punt returner who appeared sparingly, seeing action in two games as a redshirt freshman… First collegiate action came in win over Tennessee State… Also saw action in midseason victory over Temple… Caught one pass, good for eight yards, in the Tennessee State game… Earned Offensive Scout of the Week honors after Temple game.

2005
Redshirted as freshman…Worked as wide receiver during fall practices.

High School
Senior captain for Trojans… Two-year starter at slotback/wide receiver… As senior, caught 54 passes for 789 yards and six touchdowns… Also averaged 21 yards as a kick return specialist… Named First Team All-District as senior… Recipient of Trojan of the Year Award after season… As a junior, caught 28 receptions for 509 yards and three TDs… Also lettered in other varsity sports… Started as shooting guard in basketball and leftfielder in baseball.

Larry Marvin Simmons… Son of Xiomara Williams… Has an older brother… Involved in youth activities at local church… Mom is an registered nurse… Plans to major in Human and Organizational Development… Works as volunteer with local hospital… Enjoys playing video games and going to the movies.

‘Larry has tremendously quick feet, and runs really good routes. His acceleration after making the catch is exceptional. I just tried to get Larry the ball and let him do his thing.

‘We moved up in class this year and only went 2-8, but we had a lot of good things happen. Larry was responsible for a lot of them. He also enjoys studying film and understands what a defense is trying to do to stop him.’
