Soccer Signees: Brittney Thomas

The third and final women’s soccer signee from the state of Texas is a wide back from Dallas, Brittney Thomas.

Brittanie BarberoThomas has been a three-year starter for Head Coach Misail Tsapos’ Colleyville Heritage High School Panthers. The squad has won the District 5-5A championship in each of the past three seasons.

At Colleyville Heritage, Thomas (No. 6 in the photo) also was a district finalist in the 100-meter hurdles. She is a highly decorated student as well as an athlete, and has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years. Since her freshman year, Thomas has performed over 250 hours of community service.

The 5’11” Thomas plays her club soccer for Coach Kenny Medina’s Dallas Sting 93 side, where she was a teammate of another Commodore signee, goalkeeper Brittanie Barbero.

The Sting boasts an impressive resume, including a quarterfinal appearance in Region 3 in 2010. The team also finished fourth in the Elite Clubs National League last year.
