Dores to host 12 games in Music City

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt soccer team announced Monday its 2024 schedule, which features 11 regular season matches and an exhibition. The Commodores will also play host to five SEC foes this fall.

The season begins with a pair of exhibitions, first on the road on Aug. 6 at Memphis before hosting UAB on Aug. 10.

The regular season officially gets underway on Aug. 15 at Georgetown for the first matchup between the programs.

The Dores will open the home portion of the schedule on Aug. 22 against Belmont, kicking off a season-long, six-game homestand to conclude the nonconference schedule that includes Saint Mary’s (Calif.) on Aug. 25, Columbia (Aug. 30), Kansas (Sept. 5), Middle Tennessee (Sept. 8) and Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 12).

Vanderbilt will open SEC play by visiting Auburn on Sept. 12, followed by back-to-back home conference games against Georgia on Sept. 22 and Arkansas on Sept. 26. Vandy will close the month by visiting in-state rival Tennessee on Sept. 29.

October will kick off with the Dores hosting South Carolina on Oct. 4 and visiting Texas A&M on Oct. 10. Vandy will return to the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex to host Kentucky on Oct. 13 before closing the road portion of SEC play at Florida (Oct. 18) and LSU (Oct. 24). A tilt against Alabama will serve as the regular season finale on Oct. 27.

For the second straight year, the SEC Tournament will be held in Pensacola, Florida, starting on Nov. 2, with the championship being held on Nov. 10. The NCAA Tournament will start on Nov. 15.

In 2024, the Commodores are slated to face eight teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season. That total includes four teams that finished in the top-25 rankings and Georgetown, which concluded the 2023 campaign receiving votes.
