NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt soccer coach Ronnie Woodard added six student-athletes in the spring signing period that will play for the Commodores in the 2010 season.
Highlighting the group is goalkeeper Alexa Levick and defender Claire Romaine, ranked No. 14 in the South Atlantic region by Top Drawer Soccer.
“The 2010 class provides a lot of diversity in terms of positions the kids play,” said Vanderbilt head coach Ronnie Woodard. “It was really important to us that we added some more depth to our roster, in addition to adding quality players into the mix. I think this whole group comes with technical talent, solid athletic ability and great work ethic and they will make us a more competitive Vanderbilt team.”
The group consists of a goalkeeper, midfielder and four backs.

Caffrey Brooks (Back/Mission Hills, Kan.)
High School: As a junior, Brooks was named Missouri Class 2 Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Missouri All-Western Region Player of the Year and to the Kansas City Star’s All-Metro second team … Three time all-state performer (first team as sophomore and junior, second team as a freshman) at forward and midfield … Varsity captain for three years (soph-senior) … three-time team MVP and four-year letter winner.
Club Experience: Played for the Blue Valley Stars (Mallorca, KS) … Six-time Kansas State Cup Champions … 2009 Region II semifinalist, Kansas State Cup Champs … 2008 National League participant, Kansas State Cup Champs … 2007 Region II finalist, Kansas State Cup Champs.
Personal: Caffrey Keltner Brooks … Parents are Robert and Beverly Brooks … Has a brother: Davis, and three sisters: Claire, Caroline and Catherine … High honors student … Awarded 2008 Sophomore Cup for excellence in academics, athletics and leadership … Was homecoming queen … Professional golfer Tom Watson and former NBA player Kareem Rush went to her high school … most memorable athletic performance was scoring game-winning goal against state runner-up her junior year.

Duggan Hahn (Back/Knoxville, Tenn.)
High School: Dugan was named to the all-region team in her freshman year … Team was region champs and qualified for state tournament in 2007. She stopped playing high school soccer after freshman year and focused on club team … Earned one letter as a forward … 2008 Tennessee State champ in track, 2009 state runner-up and fourth in state in 4 by 800 relay.
Club Experience: Played for Atlanta Fire United Elite and also on Tennessee’s Olympic Development Team (2004-08) … Fire was 2009 state semifinalist as well as Disney tourney semifinalist … Won 2008 Georgia state championship … Played for Impact Soccer Club in Tennessee in 2007 and team won state championship … Was on Region III camp team from 2004-08 and lead the premier league in scoring in 2007.
Personal: Duggan Darr Hahn … Nickname is Duggie … Parents are Paul and Fran Hahn … Has a brother: Jim and two sisters, Mary Fran and Bailey … Was a Junior Honor Society member … AP French Award recipient … Plans to major psychology with future ambitions of going to law school and practicing criminal law … Listed an interesting fact about her: My school’s database had me listed as a boy for three years because of my unique name … Greatest sports moment was watching Brandi Chastain score the winning penalty kick in the 1999 Women’s World Cup.

Sarah Hook (Back/Birmingham, Ala.)
High School: Hook was named to the Alabama High School Coaches Association’s All Metro Girls team in 2009 … 2009 AHSAA girls soccer All-North team … Her stats through her junior season include 51 goals and 49 assists in 76 starts … Team made playoffs from 2007-09 and was a state finalist in 2008.
Club Experience: Played for the Birmingham United ’92 Elite … 2008-09 state champions and 2007 state finalist … Also participated in Alabama’s Olympic Development Program (2005-09) … Selected by the AYSA/ODP to train and guest play with Fortuna Hjorring Professional Club in Denmark in 2008.
Personal: Sarah Elizabeth Hook … Parents are Edward and Kathyrn Hook … Has a sister, Jessica … 2006 and 2010 class representative … 2009 Advanced Placement Scholar … Plans to major in human and organizational development … Future goal after graduation at Vanderbilt is to go to culinary school and become an executive chef or restaurant owner … The person(s) she most admires is Lance Armstrong and her grandmother.

Alexa Levick (Goalkeeper/Wyoming, Ohio)
High School: Levick helped lead team to 2009 league, district and regional championships and a state final four appearance … 2007-09 first team all-league and first team All-Southwest Ohio … 2009-also league player of the year, first team all state and first team Region IV … Recorded school and league record 16 shutouts in 2009 … Four-year varsity letter-winner in basketball. Hoops team won 2008 league championship … Scored 27 points in win over archrival after she committed to Vanderbilt.
