Snedeker Finishes Third at Buick

Jan. 28, 2007

LA JOLLA, Calif. — Former Commodore All-American and PGA Tour rookie Brandt Snedeker carded a final round 71 (one-under) to finish alone in third place (-12) at the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course.

Snedeker capped off a solid week with a birdie-4 on the 72nd hole to finish one stroke ahead of three players tied at -11. Snedeker held the outright lead after the first and second rounds and was a co-leader after 54 holes.

He tied a course record by shooting a 61 on Thursday, including a nine-under 27 on the front.

Snedeker’s check for $353,600 was more than he made in 26 starts on the 2006 Nationwide Tour. He also collected enough FedExCup points to move to No. 13 on the season list.
