Senior soccer player Jessica Fear named to SEC Good Works Team

Senior women’s soccer player Jessica Fear has been announced as part of the SEC Good Works team. The announcement came today from the SEC office.

Official Release

Fear, a senior defender from West Chester, Ohio, is currently double majoring in Psychology and Child Development at Vanderbilt. Fear has participated in the Vanderbilt’s Kids Zone for all four years. In the spring of 2003, Jessica volunteered at the Susan Gray School serving children with disabilities. In spring of 2002, she volunteered with the exchange club family center whice emphasizes child abuse prevention.

In addition to her volunteer oppotunities, Jessica is involved in many honor societies and committees at Vanderbilt. Since 2003 she has been a member of the student athlete advisory committee. In summer of 2004 she was selected for the prestigious FBI internship program. Jessica has been on the dean’s list every semester since she started at Vanderbilt. She is also a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor society for psychology majors. Jessica was also named a SEC Scholar Athlete in 2002-03 and 2003-04.

Jessica does a very admirable job of managing her time to encompass her challenging academic work load, her soccer commitment as well as finding time to volunteer countless hours in the community.
