NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Seniors Rachel Deresky and Caroline Betts combined for nine points to lift Vanderbilt over Middle Tennessee 3-0 on senior night Sunday evening at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
Rachel Deresky posted five points off two goals and an assist. Caroline Betts registered four points off two assists and a goal.
Middle Tennessee held Vandy scoreless the first 16 minutes of the match, despite the Dores earning four corner kicks. Deresky opened the scoring in the 17th minute off a pass from Betts. Betts crossed from the left side of the box, through the legs of Sydney Watts’ to meet Deresky on the right for the tap in.

The Dores continued the attack out of break when Betts found Deresky again for her second score of the night. Vanderbilt found the back of the net for the final goal but this time it was Deresky to Betts in the 64th minute of the match.
