NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s seniors delivered in a big way on senior day, lifting the Commodores to a 16-6 win over Old Dominion on Saturday afternoon and clinching the final spot in the 2025 American Athletic Conference Tournament for the second straight year. All 16 Vanderbilt goals came from members of the graduating class.
The Commodores jumped out to a 12-1 halftime lead, fueled by a 10-0 run and a four-goal first half from Jaime Biskup. Vanderbilt put up 20 shots before the break, converting 12 of them to seize control early. Despite five second-half goals by Old Dominion, the Commodores maintained their lead and closed out the regular season with a win.
Biskup paced Vanderbilt (9-8, 3-3 AAC) with four goals and two assists, while Brooke Baker and Cate Bradley each recorded hat tricks. Bailey Lower led the way on the draw circle with eight controls and Molly Finlay and Nancy Halleron scored two goals apiece. Kemper Robinson and Maddie Barkate each added a goal, while Anna Taraboletti handed out a career-high three assists and Sammy Nuchow dished two. Defensively, Alex Gladding and McKenna Harden combined for four ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Old Dominion (8-9, 1-5 AAC) was led by Katie Pfeiler’s two-goal performance. Callie Culhane, Sylvia Mayo, Sarah Murrell and Corryn Jones each added a goal for the Monarchs.
Fourth-seeded Vanderbilt will face top-seeded James Madison in the AAC semifinals Thursday at 4:30 p.m. ET at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex in Norfolk, Virginia. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
