The Commodores (6-1-1, 0-0-1 SEC) held 51 percent of possession and outshot the Tigers 15–9, including eight attempts on frame. Senior Maci Teater and junior Courtney Jones each registered multiple shots on target, but LSU’s keeper Audur Scheving made seven saves to secure the clean sheet.
LSU (5-3-1, 0-0-1 SEC) created early pressure with four corner kicks, three in the opening 15 minutes. Sara Wojdelko answered with three saves to notch her third straight shutout and fourth of the year.
Vanderbilt nearly found the breakthrough in the closing minutes while up a player following an LSU red card, earning a corner in the 90th minute but was unable to convert.
The Commodores continue conference play Thursday, traveling to No. 9 Arkansas for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on SEC Network+.
