Vanderbilt officials today announced the Commodores’ football game Saturday at Mississippi State will be available throughout the state of Tennessee on a pay-per-view basis to subscribers of Comcast and Charter.

“We have worked hard to put this arrangement together as a service to our fans,” says David Williams, Vice Chancellor for University Affairs and Athletics. “We realize there is tremendous interest in our team and wanted to bring this game into the living room for those unable to travel to Starkville.”

The Commodores, 5-0 for the first time since 1943 and 3-0 in Southeastern Conference play, are seeking their first victory in Starkville since 1971. Kickoff for the game is 1:30 p.m., CT.

Fans in Tennessee can order the October 11 game through their local, participating cable provider for $29.95. Comcast and Charter will offer the game in Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga and other areas throughout the state.

To order, contact your local cable provider. In Nashville that number is 615-244-5900. Additional participating cable providers as well as ordering information will also be listed on the CSS website, csssports.com.

In addition, for fans living outside the state of Tennessee and Mississippi, ESPN is adding the game to its weekly “Game Plan” viewing package. Southeastern Conference policy requires a black out in the participating states.

George Plaster, host of Nashville’s highly rated “Sports Zone” afternoon radio show on 104.5 The Zone, will handle play-by-play duties with former Mississippi State quarterback Matt Wyatt doing color commentary.
