Pruitt enjoyed his most important role as a fourth-year contributor,
playing in all 13 games… Saw action as WR and punt return specialist… Registered a reception in SEC wins against Georgia, Florida and Kentucky… Also averaged 4.8 yards on five punt returns, including a crucial 17-yarder that started game-winning drive vs. Wake Forest… Earned starting assignment at WR against Kentucky and Wake Forest… Ended the season with three receptions, good for 44 yards and a pair of first downs.

2010
One of four true freshman receivers on the roster, Pruitt did not play during his first year on campus… As a redshirt, he served as valuable offensive scout wideout during fall practices.
High School
Team captain as senior, helping Purple Hurricanes to 13-1 mark in 2009 and consecutive berths in AA state semifinals.. Four-year varsity starter for south-central Georgia power… Started at WR as freshman, moving to halfback-slotback as sophomore… Named first team All-State by sportswriters and Atlanta Journal-Constitution, All-Middle Georgia by Macon Chronicle, South Georgia Offensive Player of the Year and Region 1-AA Player of the Year as senior… As halfback, rushed for 921 yards and 17 TDs as halfback… Also caught 49 passes for 835 yards and eight TDs in 2009… Standout shortstop in baseball… High academic achiever and school[apos]s Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman Award winner.

Joseph Trenton Pruitt… Son of Robby and Jill Pruitt… Born March 6, 1991… Dad is head football coach at Fitzgerald HS; mom serves as guidance counselor at school… Has two older brothers, Tyler and Tucker… Both brothers played collegiately at Valdosta (Ga.) State… Enjoys playing ping pong… Working toward a degree in Human and Organizational Development.
