One of most consistent and hardest-hitting Commodores, Langford had his finest season as the most veteran member of the team[apos]s secondary personnel… Started all 12 games at strong safety, and has started all 35 games of his Commodore career… Posted single season career highs in total tackles and defensed passes as junior… Ranked fifth among Commodores with 40 solo tackles and 65 total tackles… Tied for second behind D.J. Moore with two interceptions, upping his career total to a team-high eight INTs… Only player to earn share of Defensive Player of the Week honors on three occasions; recognized after performances against Georgia, Florida and Tennessee… Notched at least three tackles in 10 of 12 games… Produced five tackles and an interception against Alabama… Had eight tackles, a tackle for loss and forced fumble in narrow loss to Georgia… TIed previous single-game high with 10 tackles and nabbed interception in loss at Florida… Shared a tackle for loss and netted 10 total tackles in superb performance at Tennessee.

The hard-hitting reputation remained intact as Langford performed well while playing with pain in his second year as a starter in Commodore secondary… Demonstrated superb leadership skills, evidenced by teammates voting Langford as Captain[apos]s Award postseason recipient… Gained more postseason accolades as recipient of team[apos]s Most Valuable Defensive Secondary Award… Started every game at safety, and enters 2007 season with 23 consecutive starts to his credit… Shared team high for second consecutive season with three interceptions… Also concluded season among team leaders with 36 solo tackles (T-4th), 51 total tackles (3rd), four defensed passes (2nd), two fumble recoveries (T-3rd) and six tackles for loss (T-5th)… Posted at least four tackles in seven of last eight games… Shared team[apos]s Defensive Player of the Week honors for effort in win over Temple… Fought injuries throughout the season, starting with a leg muscle pull in preseason practice… Added seven tackles and an interception at Ole Miss, then received second Defensive Player of the Week recognition for five tackle/one fumble recovery performance against South Carolina… Also contributed eight tackles, a season high, in Commodore win at Georgia.

Three-year starter for north Alabama 2A power… Two-year captain… Started at running back and free safety… Named 2A First Team All-State defensive back and All-Region after senior season… As a senior, selected as Decatur (Ala.) Daily[apos]s 1A-3A Player of the Year and Athens (Ala.)
