Game Notes
  • The Vanderbilt lacrosse team closes the regular season with home games versus American Athletic Conference opponent Temple on Friday and Sunday at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex.
  • The Commodores and Owls have matching 6-2 AAC records and will also meet in the AAC Semifinals on May 6 regardless of the outcome of the upcoming regular season matchups. Florida will be the top seed, and Vanderbilt and Temple will be the second and third seeds. The fourth and final spot in the AAC Tournament is still up for grabs.
  • Vanderbilt is 11-4 overall on the season and has yet to lose a game to a team ranked outside of the top nine in the nation. The Dores’ losses have come to No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Notre Dame and two losses to No. 9 Florida.
  • The 11 wins are tied for the fourth most in school history for a single season. Two more wins this season would tie the program record of 13 wins set in 2008.
  • Vanderbilt is 7-0 at home this season and looking to complete its first-ever undefeated home schedule. The Dores have nine seasons with just one home loss (’96, ‘97, ‘98, ‘00, ‘02, ‘04, ‘09, ‘10, ’19).
  • Vanderbilt is receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse Top 20 poll, while Temple is receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse and the US Lacrosse Magazine polls.
  • The Dores are 1-5 in the all-time series versus Temple. Vandy beat the Owls in 2015 but have lost four in a row in the series.
  • Vandy is coming off a pair of losses on the road at No. 9 Florida. In the two games, Bri Gross led the offense with seven goals including a four-goal performance in game two.
