NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt soccer falls 2-0 to No. 2/1 Arkansas on Thursday night at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. Jailyn Brownlee and Anaiyah Robinson each scored once to lift the Razorbacks.
Vanderbilt (5-2-3, 0-2-1) took seven shots on Arkansas’ keeper Keegan Smith, who saved each one. The Commodores had just three corner kicks, a season low. Vivian Akyirem and Mia Gonzalez registered their first career Vanderbilt starts.
Keeper Kate Devine tallied three saves on the night, all in the second half. Devine has registered 158 saves over her career, just two shy of passing Lauren Whitt to slide into sixth all-time.

No. 2 Arkansas (8-0-1, 3-0) remains undefeated this season and at the top of the conference with nine points. The Razorbacks had 10 corner kicks in the match, the most that Vandy has given up this season, two of which resulted in goals. Arkansas totaled 15 shots, five on goal, tied for the most this season by a Vanderbilt opponent.
The Commodores return to action on Sunday afternoon visiting Tennessee. The match is slated for 3 p.m. CT and will be shown on SEC Network+.
