NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Bailey Ratzburg has been recognized as a member of the SEC Women’s Swimming & Diving Community Service Team it was announced on Monday by the league office.
The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league sponsored sports in order to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Ratzburg has contributed her time and efforts to several organizations in the Nashville area since joining the Commodore program, leading the team in service hours during the 2025-26 campaign. She has served as an ambassador at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center on numerous occasions and has also volunteered on a regular basis with the Nashville Dolphins program whose mission is to improve the health and quality of life for children and adults with special needs. Ratzburg also was part of Vanderbilt’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s holiday party for students of Jones Paideia Elementary School last semester, contributed to Vanderbilt Athletics’ Anchorthon Big Event and has engaged with the program’s miracle child at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital.
Out of the pool, Ratzburg was named to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll following her freshman season before making the 2024-25 SEC Academic Honor Roll. The junior currently stands fifth on the program’s all-time performer list in the 400 individual medley while also ranking eighth in the 200 individual medley. Ratzburg has made the CSCAA National Invitational Championship B cut in the 200 backstroke, and 200 and 400 IM during the 2025-26 campaign, posting the Commodores’ best marks in the 200 freestyle and 200 and 400 IM while also ranking in the top five on the team in the 100 freestyle, 200 back and 200 breaststroke.
Ratzburg and the Commodores will begin competition at the SEC Championships on Tuesday in Knoxville, Tennessee.
