Vandyville has tripled in size since its inception and is now the place to be and be seen. In this, its eighth year, 60 season tents were purchased as Vandyville continues to stretch far down Natchez Trace.
Several major media outlets including Associated Press and the Chattanooga Times-Free Press have recently run articles regarding Vanderbilt’s football traditions. We’ve made progress over recent years in either creating new ones or dusting off some old ones. Certainly the expanded use of our anchor is an example of something old – something new. Anchor Down!

We saluted Goodlettsville’s Little League USA champions during the first half. They have many fans and one of the biggest is Vandy’s Tim Corbin, who traveled to Williamsport twice and watched three games.
Pretty decent football crowd considering we were head-to-head with the Titans’ game downtown, on a Thursday night when most folks had to work and there were threats of rain. We still need to get more into the stadium but it’s trending upward.
How good are Southeastern Conference athletes? Good enough to win 58 medals at the recent Olympic Games.
There were nearly two dozen NFL scouts in attendance at the game, not necessarily a high-water number but certainly an indication of their interest in the talent between the two teams.
