NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt freshman Gabby Putman was recognized on the Nike Lacrosse/Inside Lacrosse Women’s Power 100 Freshman Rankings – Class of 2025, coming in at No. 38.
Out of Cicero North Syracuse High School, Putman was named a 2025 USA Lacrosse All-American and selected for this year’s All America North-South Game this summer. A two-time Central New York Large School Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year, Putman ran track in high school and is a two-time New Balance and Nike All-American.
“Gabby is one of the most dynamic players in this recruiting class,” said associate head coach Jill Kendall. “She has a relentless work ethic and is ready to compete at the highest level. Her stick skills are exceptional, her field vision is elite, and her speed in transition makes her so difficult to defend. I am so excited to see her in black and gold this year!”
Putman and the Commodores will kick off the 2026 season in mid-February. For more information about the Vanderbilt lacrosse program, please follow @vandylacrosse on Instagram and X.
