NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt senior Ryan Preston and sophomore Vijay Paul are ranked No. 24 and No. 28, respectively, in the ITA southeast region singles poll.
A native of Northbrook, Ill., Preston finished the fall season with a 4-4 record in singles play. He concluded the fall by posting wins in three of his last four matches.
Paul (Medford, N.J.) finished the fall season with a 10-3 record. Like Preston, he also ended the fall season strong by winning four of his last five matches. Paul’s best showing of the season came at the ITA Southeast Regional when he posted four wins to advance to the round of 16 before falling.
The Commodores open their spring season on Jan. 27 when they host Michigan State at 11 a.m.
