TEAM NOTES
- Four captains represented the Commodores at midfield: Richie Hoskins, Diego Pavia, Marlen Sewell and Khordae Sydnor
- Auburn won the toss and elected to defer
- Auburn also won the toss heading into overtime and elected to play defense first
- Vanderbilt has won eight games in a season for the first time since 2013
- The Dores sport an 8-2 record through its first 10 games of a season for the first time since 1941
- Vandy’s 45 points scored are the most points scored against Auburn in a game this season. The Tigers were one of three FBS teams to not give up more than 24 points in a game coming into the week
- Two Commodores, Tre Richardson and Eli Stowers, had 100-plus receiving yards in a game for the first time since Vandy’s win over UConn on Oct. 2, 2021
- The Dores’ 544 total yards of offense are the most for the program vs. an SEC opponent since 2016 (608 yards vs. Tennessee)
- Vanderbilt has recorded a rushing touchdown in 14 consecutive games, their longest streak in 13 years
- Vandy posted its first overtime victory since Aug. 31, 2024, when the Commodores posted a 34-27 overtime victory over Virginia Tech to kick off the 2024 campaign
- The Commodores played in their first overtime game since Sept. 21, 2024, when they dropped a double-overtime contest to Missouri in Columbia, Mo.
- Vanderbilt has beaten Auburn in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1949-50
PLAYER NOTES
- Diego Pavia collected a career-high 489 total yards of offense, throwing for 377 yards and adding an additional 112 yards on the ground
- Pavia is the first Vanderbilt football player since at least 1996 to collect over 300 passing yards and 100 rushing yards in a game
- Pavia’s 377 passing yards are the most he has thrown for in an FBS game
- The quarterback’s 112 rushing yards are the most he has collected in a game at Vanderbilt, while it is his fourth career FBS game with 100-plus yards on the ground
- Pavia threw for two touchdown and ran in another scoring, marking his fifth game this season with at least three scores
- With 489 all-purpose yards, Pavia moved into fifth in school history for season total yards of offense. He also eclipsed 6,000 total yards of offense in his Vanderbilt career
- Pavia is now tied for 10th in Vandy history for career rushing touchdowns with 15 as a Commodore
- Brock Taylor connected on his ninth made field goal of the season with a 23-yarder in the second quarter
- Taylor has made 27-of-31 field goal attempts in his Vandy career
- Junior Sherrill caught a 20-yard touchdown pass for his sixth receiving TD of the season
- Sedrick Alexander scored two rushing touchdowns, his second game this season with multiple scores
- Alexander moves into a tie for fifth in school history with 18 career rushing touchdowns
- Tre Richardson, who finished with a season-best 124 receiving yards, hauled in a season-long 43-yard pass in the second quarter
- Eli Stowers amassed 122 receiving yards, making him the first Vanderbilt tight end since at least 1996 to record 100-plus receiving yards in back-to-back games
- Stowers, who had 12 catches vs. Auburn, is also the first Commodore tight end to register 10-plus receptions in a game since at least 1996
- Stowers reached 100 receptions as a Commodore in the win
- Langston Patterson eclipsed 200 career tackles, finishing the day with 11 stops
- Patterson also registered his first forced fumble of the season
- Bryan Longwell led the Vanderbilt defense with 12 tackles
- Keanu Koht forced the first fumble of his career
- Bryce Cowan and CJ Heard were each credited with a sack and a tackle for loss. It is the second sack of the season for both Commodores
- Randon Fontenette finished with a season-high eight tackles
