Opening Statement…
It was an interesting game to say the least. We got off to a great start, but they got back into it. We did a lot things that were pleasing in the first half, and a lot that weren’t too pleasing, like the free throws. I thought we responded with a young team for our first game on the road.
On Toledo…
They are a tough match up. They have big wings and small posts, and it provides some problems. I thought we did a pretty good job against Kent (UT’s leading scorer). We tried to focus on that.
On allowing Toledo to come back after an 18-0 run to start the game…
We looked like a team that wasn’t comfortable with that kind of lead. However, we never worried about the game getting away from us. I have a ton of admiration for them for their fight. But, we’ve got six freshman, and to have the lead for the entire game and to come in here to this kind of environment, it is a good feeling.
On the second half…
We wanted to run it and hoped to wear them down. We felt like we were wearing them down with our relentlessness pushing the ball.

On Toledo’s comeback…
They started hitting some shots in the second half, but coach Stallings told us that we had to play with confidence. At the half, he said there was another 20 minutes, and we had to play with the same intensity that we started the game off with.
