NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s basketball student-athlete Scotty Pippen Jr. has announced his plans to enter the upcoming NBA Draft.
Pippen, who recently completed his junior season for the Commodores, put together one of the best statistical careers in Vanderbilt men’s basketball history. The guard set the program’s single-season scoring record with 736 points, leading the Dores to the NIT quarterfinals to conclude the 2021-22 season. His 20.4 points per game led the SEC.

With 1,577 career points, Pippen stands 12th on Vandy’s scoring list. His 17.5 points per game during his three seasons in Nashville are good for fifth best in school history.
The Los Angeles native has his name all over the Vanderbilt record book – fifth for single-season assists (162 in 2021-22), 10th in career assists (383), fourth in career assists per game (4.3), third in single-season steals (70 in 2021-22), ninth in career steals (144) and fifth in career steals per game (1.6).
This season, Pippen earned All-SEC first team honors from both the league’s coaches and The Associated Press. He also earned a place on the Lute Olson All-America team.
