Rising VU sophomore Hudson Johnson finished 25th in the Pearl River Resort Golf Classic this past weekend in Choctaw, Miss. The event, put on by the NGA Hooters Pro Golf Tour, featured a field of 168 players.
Johnson played the event as an amateur after receiving an exemption for his victory in the Spirit of America Classic earlier this summer.
The Vanderbilt men’s golf team opens the 2007-08 season at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic in Dalton, Ga., Sept. 14-16. Later this fall, the team will play host to the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate, Oct. 21-23, at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
