Over 100 Vanderbilt Student-Athletes Receive Degrees

Group includes current and former student-athletes who've graduated in the last year

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A total of 104 Vanderbilt current and former student-athletes were among the group receiving degrees in the university’s annual graduation ceremony Friday at GEODIS Park.

Those included in the recognition were individuals who earned either bachelor’s or master’s degrees at the end of last summer, in December and at the conclusion of the spring semester. At least one individual from all 16 Commodore sport programs currently competing were honored.

On Thursday, graduating student-athletes were recognized in a ceremony held at the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center. The event concluded with their introduction as new members of Vanderbilt’s letterwinners society, the Black and Gold Club.
