INDIANAPOLIS — Vanderbilt linebacker Anfernee Orji put on a show at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week. Orji had the top vertical leap of any linebacker in the combine.
Orji posted top marks in multiple categories. His 38.5-inch vertical topped all linebackers, besting Tennessee’s Jeremy Banks by an inch. His 40-yard dash time of 4.53 seconds was seventh among the linebackers, while his 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds was third in the position group.

He posted a broad jump of 10’2″, eighth among linebackers, with a 7-second three-cone drill that was second for linebackers.
Orji capped his senior season at Vanderbilt leading the SEC with nine tackles per game. He led the Commodores in total tackles for a third consecutive season, the first Vandy player to do so since 2005.
The Rockwall, Texas, native continues his preparation for the NFL Draft with Vanderbilt’s Pro Day on March 28. The 2023 NFL Draft is set for April 27-29 in Kansas City, Missouri.
