Lacrosse travels to Louisville Wednesday for third road contest

Series History
• Louisville leads the series all-time 11-3 dating back to 2010 when the Commodores took a 20-13 win
• The teams last met in Louisville during the 2022 season when the Cardinals took a 15-6 victory
• Last year, the two squads met in Music City resulting in a Commodore loss, 9-13, despite a Brooke Baker hat trick

The Opponent
• Louisville enters the contest 5-5 overall, 2-4 in conference play after taking a 12-5 win over California on Saturday
• The Cardinals beat Cincinnati in overtime, an opponent the Commodores beat 22-10
• Louisville has wins over Kent State, Canisus, Florida State, Cincinnati and California
• It’s losses include to #15 Duke, #12 Syracuse, #1 North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Ohio State

A New Draw Queen in Town
• Freshman Gabby Putman put on a show in the Commodores’ 14-11 win over Mercer finishing with not only her first career goal but tallying nine draw controls in the win
• The New York native posted back-to-back games with at least nine draw controls before setting a new personal best 14 wins on the circle in the conference opener against Old Dominion, which tied the single game program record set by Kiera Runske earlier this season
• Putman has already totaled 54 draw controls, more than last year’s leader

Another Honor for Putman
• Gabby Putman and Anna Taraboletti each earned weekly conference honors on Monday afternoon. Putman received her third straight recognition from the conference and first as the Defensive Player of the Week while Taraboletti was named the American Midfielder of the Week after helping the Dores defeat Old Dominion on Saturday
• Putman, a freshman midfielder, tallied a career-high 14 draw controls in the 17-2 road win. The 14 wins on the circle tied the program record for most in a game, set by Kiera Runske earlier this season. The Cicero, New York, native has already tallied 54 draw controls so far this season, topping last season’s leader in the category
• Taraboletti had a career day Saturday, posting a personal-best four goals off four shots and causing a career-high-tying three turnovers. The junior out of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, has reached double figures this season in goals (12), points (16), ground balls (10) and caused turnovers (12)
