Ott claims Wisconsin Amateur
Ott claimed the Wisconsin State Amateur in a dramatic, eight-hole playoff against Thomas Longbella to win the 117th edition of the event, which took place at the Minocqua Country Club in Minocqua, Wis.

"Probably the greatest ending to any tournament I've ever seen," Bill Linneman, longtime director of rules and competitions for the Wisconsin State Golf Association, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "It was just unreal. They both made great shots at great times. They both missed opportunities to win at different times."

Augenstein continues stellar summer
Augenstein is on quite a roll heading into the U.S. Amateur after claiming the Players Amateur in July, which gives him an exemption into the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage in the spring of 2019.  He also finished tied for fourth at the Southern Amateur at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky, and recently advanced to the quarterfinals of the Western Amateur in Chicago, Ill.

Gordon, Martin play at Pacific Amateur
Gordon and Martin played at the Pacific Coast Amateur July 24-27 at the legendary Olympic Club in San Francisco, with Gordon finishing in fourth and Martin in a tie for 28th.

Shears at Tennessee Amateur
Incoming freshman Michael Shears finished the Tennessee Amateur at Spring Creek Ranch in Collierville, Tenn. in a tie for 16th with a final total of 291 (74-71-71-75).
