NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bryant Hahnfeldt, VU senior placekicker, split the goalposts with a 45-yard field goal with 3:26 left, giving the Commodores a 16-14 win over Boston College in the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl at LP Field Wednesday evening.
Coach Bobby Johnson’s squad finishes the 2008-09 season with a 7-6 record, and garnered VU’s first bowl game victory since the 1955 Gator Bowl.
Myron Lewis, junior cornerback, haulted a late Boston College rally attempt, intercepting a BC pass attempt with 1:36 remaining in the game.
