Newest BBVA Compass Bowl ticket sections on west side of Legion Field

Dec. 19, 2013

With BBVA Compass Bowl officials announcing that east side seating sections at historic Legion Field are full, Vanderbilt Athletics is now selling reserved seating blocks across the stadium facing the Commodore bench.

“As Coach Franklin said, our goal is to fill the entire stadium with Black & Gold and create a great atmosphere for the Commodores,” Associate Director of Athletics Steve Walsh said. “We have been working closely with BBVA Compass Bowl officials to secure the best possible seating on the west side of the stadium so that our fans can enjoy the game with other Commodore supporters.”

“We want to make sure Vanderbilt fans hoping to make the trip to Birmingham know that good seats, in Vanderbilt friendly sections, remain available in Legion Field,” Walsh said.

Vanderbilt, making its third consecutive bowl appearance, will face the Houston Cougars. The game is scheduled on Saturday, Jan. 4, with kickoff at 12 noon CT.

Vanderbilt sold through its initial 10,000 ticket allotment within the first five days following the bowl announcement and has been working with bowl officials to continue to expand on the Vanderbilt block on the East side of the stadium. Moving forward, tickets sold through the Vanderbilt Ticket Office will be placed in Commodore sections on the West side of Legion Field.

Vanderbilt fans are encouraged to continue to purchase their tickets ($55 ea.) through the Vanderbilt Ticket Office by calling 615-322-GOLD (4653) or online at www.vanderbilt.edu/bowl.
