Mundy hired as Yale assistant coach

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Alex Mundy, a two-time All-American who was a part of four straight NCAA Tournament appearances at Vanderbilt, has joined the Yale women’s lacrosse staff as an assistant coach. She and returnee Jillian Byers, a four-time All-American for Notre Dame, form the staff under Anne Phillips, who is entering her fourth season as Yale’s Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954 Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse.

Mundy, a native of Ellicott City, Md., graduated from Vanderbilt in 2010 with a B.S. in economics and a B.S. in political science, minoring in managerial studies and corporate strategy. She was on Vanderbilt’s dean’s list and made the SEC’s Academic Honor Roll in 2007.
