NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In their last home stand of the 2016 season, the No. 43 Vanderbilt men’s tennis team welcomes the 16th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks on Friday at 5:00 pm and the No. 35 Ole Miss Rebels on Sunday at 1:00 for Senior Day.
The first 75 fans in attendance for Friday’s match against Arkansas will receive a #FightDores tank top. Prior to the `Dores home finale, the team will honor is two senior leaders, Rhys Johnson and Kris Yee at 12:45 pm.

Vandy heads into Friday’s SEC showdown with a 13-10 overall record, going 4-4 in SEC play. The 43rd-ranked Commodores went 1-1 last weekend, falling 5-2 to the Gators and defeating the Tigers at Auburn, 4-3. The victory over AU was the squad’s fourth 4-3 victory of the season, all coming in league play.
In the latest polls, Cameron Klinger and Rhys Johnson improved from No. 33 to No. 16 in the country, while Daniel Valent jumped 30 spots to No. 37 in the nation.
Scouting the Razorbacks:
Arkansas enters Friday’s competition with a 27th ranking and 18-5 (6-3) record, winning 67% of their matches this season. The Hogs have played in four-consecutive 4-3 SEC matches, taking all but one. Arkansas is home to two ranked singles players, and a top-25 doubles team.
The Razorbacks defeated Alabama 4-3 in Tuscaloosa last Friday night and Saint Louis 5-2 in Fayetteville on Sunday evening. On Sunday afternoon, the squad fell 4-3 to No. 24 Mississippi State.
Scouting the Rebels:
Ole Miss owns the No. 35 spot in the country, with an 8-8 overall record and 3-6 conference slate. The Reb’s three league victories came over Tennessee, LSU and Mississippi State.
Before heading to the Music City, the Rebs take a break from the rigors of SEC play to host Alcorn State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Thursday.
In the latest Oracle/ITA rankings, two Rebels make the top 75 in singles, with Stafan Lindmark leading the squad at No. 58. In doubles, Filip Kraljevic Zvonimir Babic represent UM as the NO. 46 tandems in the nation.
