BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana State defeated No. 32 Vanderbilt 6-1 in men’s tennis action Sunday afternoon in Baton Rouge.
The No. 32 Commodores were unable to notch a third consecutive conference victory following wins over Auburn and Alabama to set their overall record at 7-6 and 2-2 in the SEC.
Vanderbilt dropped all three doubles contest to put the Tigers up 1-0.
Freshman Vijay Paul was the only ‘Dore to earn a singles win, improving his singles win streak to seven matches, including four conference victories.
Vanderbilt will take a break from action this week and resume conference play against Ole Miss on the road on Friday, March 23.
