Dores Overpowered by No. 4 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis fell short to No. 4 Florida at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex, 7-0.
 
The Gators quickly earned a 1-0 lead over the Commodores, collecting the doubles point with wins on Courts 2 and 3.

As the Dores looked to bounce back in singles, the Gators swiftly advanced their lead to 2-0 over the Dores with George Harwell falling to Florida’s No. 51 Sam Riffice, 6-0, 6-0.
 
Extending Florida’s lead to 3-0, Duarte Vale took down sophomore Max Freeman in a straight-set win, 6-1, 6-1.
 
Clinching the match for the Gators, No. 29 Andres Andrade outmatched freshman Macsen Sisam on Court 3, 6-2, 6-4.
 
Remaining courts played out with the Dores dropping both remaining matches to advance the final score to 7-0.
 
The Commodores are back in action on Sunday in Columbia against No. 32 South Carolina.
